History

Opera East Lothian was formed and devised by Edinburgh born tenor John Marshall who is artistic advisor and chorus master. In the three years the company has been performing it has grown in size and reputation and our concerts regularly sell out. Some months after the first concert a chorus was formed and in recent months has doubled in size and now performs concerts in its own right, making use of the excellent voices it has within its ranks. The company is often asked to support charities and its concerts have raised many thousands of pounds over the years. We have also enjoyed performances from some great international voices Soprano - Rebecca El-Attar, Baritone - Francisco Garcia Fernandez, Soprano - Bronagh Byrne, to name but a few. Looking to the future we continue to grow and strive for excellence in our performances bringing the highest possible standard of music making to East Lothian and The East of Scotland. And to provide a performing platform for new and established musical talent both vocal and instumental.
